Janick Entremont
○● Janick Entremont (*1998 in Austria) studied at the Ostkreuz School of Photography in Berlin for four and a half years and graduated in Ina Schoenenburg's class in 2023. For his graduation work, Janick Entremont delves into a subject as ancient as humanity itself: death and how we deal with it. In doing so, he not only documents the ambitious experiment called cryonics, but also searches for clues to the existential question raised by what it enables: what is the value of time if it does not end? Not wanting to limit himself to the medium of photography, he recently began his studies at the Konrad Wolf Film University of Babelsberg. He lives between Berlin and Innsbruck.

If Time Does Not End - A dry ice box with a metal casket in a garden shed. In it, the sleeping bag with Bredo Morstøl stored here on dry ice since 1993 is awaiting a time when it will become technologically possible, legally permitted and affordable to have him restored and cloned. If Time Does Not End - Mike Perry works at Alcor Life Extension Foundation, maintaining cryogenic storage and contributing to cryonics and life extension research. He is a member and plans to be cryopreserved upon legal death. Mike's motivation is escaping death through scientific progress."Before I die" signifies being cryopreserved to him. If Time Does Not End - The brain of a female patient stored in the cryonics facility of Jordan Sparks. «The funeral home agreed to place 20lbs of dry ice and frozen gel packs around the head. When the body arrived, no dry ice remained, and the gel packs were no longer cold – the body was moved into refrigeration. The next morning, we performed the procedure to remove the brain. It was placed in 8L of 10% NBF (4% formaldehyde) and 3% glutaraldehyde.
